The Application & Placement Process
At Psychological Service Dogs, Inc., we take a compassionate and personalized approach to helping people with invisible disabilities find the right service dog.
What makes us different?
- We’re one of the only non-profit service dog organizations to exclusively use paid and professionally trained service dog trainers.
- We don’t use expensive breeders—we help you find the right rescue dog, or we can evaluate a dog already in your home.
- We utilize therapists in the community so you’re always given a referall for excellent therapeutic professionals should the need arise.
- Providing trained service dogs is 100% of our mission—it’s all we do.

Getting Started
We can’t wait to connect with you! Before applying, here are a few important factors to consider:
- Can you travel to training sessions in the Orlando area either 1-2 times a week, depending on need, for approximately 1 hour at a time or longer?
- Can you commit to a training process that may last 4 months to 1 year?
- Training length varies, but frequent, consistent practice often shortens the timeline.
